Octorber 1st & 2nd Visit to THE RISING ENGLISH BOARDING SCHOOL

Chhahari Founder Christine Casey, U.S. Board Chair Tamara Campbell, and Nepalese Board members Toya and Ranju Niraula had the pleasure of visiting with the Chhahari scholarship children in October, 2024 during the festive holiday season of Dashain. A special celebration for the 41 sponsored students included cake, cookies and other treats. Lots of laughs, namaste’s and high fives dominated the afternoon. Tamara and Ranju enjoyed more time with the little ones by joining them on the school bus ride to their homes. It was a rocky and long ride due to the recent floods and washed out roads. At one point the bus driver had to maneuver through a stream. The children cheered when the driver got through it. Many children were eager to practice their English skills and seemed to truly enjoy sharing their names, ages and favorite pastimes. Needless to say, Board members couldn’t stop smiling from all the joy and sweetness expressed through their happy faces, cheery dispositions and gracious manners.

(DECEMBER 2022) - CEO'S presentation of KEYBOARDS and CHRISTMAS SNACKS

Chhahari, Inc. USA, in support and in close collaboration with Chhahari Education and Opportunities, an NGO in Nepal, will direct efforts to insure quality education, opportunities and heath awareness to the children and their families who live in and around the District of Morang. Hundreds of people are still effected by the Koshi River Disaster of 2008.

CEO'S SCHOLARSHIP CHILDREN at The Rising English Boarding School, Morang- 2079 (2022-2023)

On 10th November 2022, a scholarship and educational material support program was organized by the CEO in the presence of the head of the education department of the municipality for the children who were displaced from Koshibadhi (Koshi River Flood). These children and their families are living in poverty in Sundarharaicha
10, Morang. The event was attended by local representatives, parents and The Rising English School family. 38 children and their immediate family members benefited from this program. Thank you very much to everyone who supported this program.

CEO organized a HEALTH CHECKUP PROGRAM at Sundarharaicha 10, Morang

On November 11, 2022 at Sundarharaicha 10 Morang, CEO organized a health checkup program targeting the children and parents displaced from Koshi Flood. This in the presence of local public representatives, parents and the management and teaching family of The Rising English School. Under ENT specialist Dr Deepak Chaudhari, 105 people underwent ENT examination. In the same way, eye specialist Dr. Akhilesh Mandal, Dr. Gajendra Shah and his team conducted eye examination of 129 people. Thank you very much to everyone who helped in this health camp.
