Nepal thru’ young eyes
The one thing that is different in children from the adults is their innocence and imagination. The exhibition ‘Young Eyes of Nepal’ features of the young ones giving an explosion of creativity. Children between the ages of nine to 15 years have created colourful paintings on themes like Nepali Heritage, Nepal is my country, Nepal through my eyes, Nepal’s Nature and Mother nature facing challenges. Kaman Lama (Kathmandu) won 3rd prize. Exhibition’s was inauguration by artist Ragini Upadhyaya Grela, and Country Manger — Nepal and Bhutan of PVBU, TATA Motors Hemant Puranik. Actor Siddhartha Koirala, who was at the exhibition expressed, “It’s amazing to see the expression of children where they have shown possibilities in Nepal through art and the value of our culture and natural resources.
The exhibition is the result of an art competition organised by the Sushila Arts Academy where 70 schools from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Dharan and Pokhara participated having 10 participants from each school.
